Setting Up the iCan App

Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Download the iCan app from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and create or log in to your account. Follow the in-app instructions to set up your profile and pair the transmitter. Refer to the "Inserting the Sensor" section below for sensor application instructions. The sensor requires a 2-hour warm-up period before readings and alerts are available. Consult the iCan User Guide for detailed information on interpreting your CGM results.

Pair Transmitter

Remove the transmitter pack and verify the SN codes match the sensor pack. Scan the QR code on the sensor pack using the app to pair.

Prepare Insertion Site

Wash hands, choose an insertion site on the abdomen (avoid moles, stretch marks, lumps, and insulin injection sites), and clean the site with an alcohol pad. Let the alcohol dry completely.

Apply Sensor

Remove the sensor pack lid. Place the transmitter pack on a flat surface and align the blue mark on the applicator with the mark on the transmitter tray until you hear a click. Turn the safety switch to the "Unlocked" position. Lift the armed applicator.

Insert Sensor

Place the applicator over the chosen site and press the white button until you hear a click. Gently pull the applicator away.

Secure Sensor

Press the adhesive around the sensor to ensure it adheres securely to your skin. Check for bleeding. If bleeding occurs, apply pressure with sterile gauze until it stops.

Remove Sensor

Gently pull up the edge of the adhesive and slowly peel it away from your skin.

Dispose

Discard the used sensor according to local regulations.
